OUR CORE BELIEFS

  • The Authority of Scripture—The Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21).

  • The Triune Godone God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).

  • The Deity and Humanity of Jesus ChristJesus is fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, sinless, crucified, risen, and ascended (John 1:1, 14; Philippians 2:6–8).

  • Salvation by Grace through FaithSalvation is a free gift of God received by faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8–9).

  • The Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Christ Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3–4).

  • The Indwelling and Empowerment of the Holy Spirit—Believers receive the Holy Spirit at salvation for guidance, sanctification, and empowerment (John 14:26; Acts 1:8).

  • The Church as the Body of ChristThe Church is a spiritual community made up of all believers who are called to worship, grow, and make disciples (1 Corinthians 12:12–27).

  •  The Second Coming of ChristJesus will return bodily and visibly to judge the living and the dead (Acts 1:11; Revelation 22:12).

  • Eternal Life—Believers will spend eternity with God; unbelievers will face eternal separation (John 3:16–18; Revelation 20:11–15).

  •  Baptism and CommunionOrdinances observed as acts of obedience and remembrance (Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26).

  • Christ-Centered FulfillmentWhile we observe biblical practices, we hold firmly that Jesus is the fulfillment of the Law and the central focus of our faith (Colossians 2:16–17). Every celebration, ordinance, or observance points us back to the redemptive work of Christ.

  • Honoring the SabbathGFAM encourages all members to rest and give worship to the LORD on the seventh day (Saturday) as part of God’s design from creation (Genesis 2:2–3) and as commanded in the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:8–11). We believe honoring the Sabbath and keeping it Holy is not optional but is in direct obedience to God’s word. We believe that remembering the Sabbath in devotion to God brings spiritual renewal, family connection, divine revelation, and intimacy into your relationship with God.

  • Baptism of the Holy Spirit—We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as described in Acts chapter 2 still exists today. This baptism, evidenced by the manifestation of speaking in tongues, empowers believers to demonstrate the power of the Holy Spirit, be bold witnesses for the Lord, have deepened spiritual intimacy, and the operation diverse spiritual gifts. We affirm that this experience is distinct from salvation and is available to all believers who seek it (Acts 2:1–4; Acts 1:8).

  • Messianic Foundations—We respect and support the roots of our faith in Messianic Judaism, acknowledging that Jesus (Yeshua) was Jewish, fulfilled the Torah, and came not to abolish the Law but to fulfill it (Matthew 5:17). We uphold the unity of Jew and Gentile in Messiah (Ephesians 2:14–16) and aim to reflect the early church’s embrace of both cultures.

  • Holistic Hebraic Understanding of Scripture—We pursue a deeper understanding of Scripture by appreciating its Hebraic context, including biblical symbolism, language, and rhythm. This enriches teaching and discipleship in the GFAM community.

  • Biblical Feast Days—We believe the appointed feasts of the Lord (Leviticus 23) hold prophetic and spiritual significance for believers today. Therefore we remember and honor these feast days according to the Word of God. We believe that celebrating Passover, Pentecost (Shavuot), and Tabernacles (Sukkot) not only allows us to honor God's redemptive biblical timeline but also strengthens our understanding of the Word of God and deepens our walk with Christ.
